The Kanhaiyalal Shantadevi Lohiya Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Lohiya Group, reflecting our unwavering commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Guided by the visionary leadership of our Group Chairman, Kanhaiyalal Lohiya, a renowned philanthropist, and Foundation Co-Chair, Shantadevi Lohiya, the foundation strives to address pressing societal issues through targeted interventions.
Establishment of schools dedicated to providing quality education, particularly in underserved regions. Setting up schools in Rajasthan and Telangana.
In line with the Government’s Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao programme, enhancing educational opportunities for girls to achieve gender equality and socio-economic development.
Constructed the Medchal ZPHS Girls School new block dedicated to advancing girls' education in Medchal-Malkajgiri district, Telangana. This block features eight modern classrooms with digital learning tools. Over 600 girls from underprivileged backgrounds will gain access to better educational facilities, a significant step towards removing obstacles that often hinder their academic growth.
Under our KSL foundation initiatives, we have adopted the Government Primary & Secondary School at Banjara Hills, transforming it into a model institution for holistic learning. The project involved complete renewal and modernization of the old school building — including construction of new toilets, provision of well-equipped laboratory facilities, installation of brand-new benches and windows, and overall infrastructure enhancement.
In addition, we are supporting the school’s ongoing operations by funding the wages of support staff, ensuring regular health check-ups for students, maintaining campus cleanliness, and providing safe drinking water through an RO system. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to nurturing education, health, and hygiene for the next generation.
In alignment with global philanthropic practices, the Kanhaiyalal Shantadevi Lohiya Foundation collaborates with governmental bodies, non-governmental organisations, and agencies to amplify the impact of its initiatives. For instance, partnerships with organisations such as Round Table India’s Freedom Through Education initiative have been instrumental in scaling our education programmes for the girl child.
